hi

i really hope you can help me with this issue

i installed nexenta on an intel mainboard with 1system disk and 4 data disks where the system disk was directly connected to a sata port on the mainboard and the 4 data disks are connected on a pci raid controller (the raid controller itself dont act as raid controller, only as sata port extention card)

after a bios upgrade (with no return) i found out solaris is not supported on this board with this bios version :-(

nexenta boots until the message "grub loading stage 2" is shown and freeze afterwards

which possibilities do i have to dont loos my data which are stored on the 4 data disks?

is it possible to reinstall a completely new nexenta system on another mainboard and another system disk and re attach the old data disks?

or do i have other options?
