Vdbench is a disk and tape I/O workload generator for verifying data integrity and measuring performance of direct attached and network connected storage on Windows, Solaris, Linux, AIX, OS/X and HP/UX.

This project delivers vdbench in a debian package. The vdbench distribution is placed in /opt/vdbench. For convenience, a script to start vdbench is installed as /usr/bin/vdbench. This script will set the vdbench directory to /opt/vdbench and run vdbench.

In addition to packaging vdbench, this project contains helpful scripts for running characterization tests that are interesting to Nexenta engineers.
