Vdbench is a disk and tape I/O workload generator for verifying data integrity and measuring performance of direct attached and network connected storage on Windows, Solaris, Linux, AIX, OS/X and HP/UX.

This project delivers vdbench in a debian package. The vdbench distribution is placed in /opt/vdbench. A vdbench script is placed in /usr/local/bin. /usr/local/bin is in the default PATH for root and admin users on NexentaStor systems.

In addition to packaging vdbench, this project contains helpful scripts for running characterization tests that are interesting to Nexenta engineers.
